I don't intend to waffle on about Easypal... what I do want to say is that it is currently the "Bee's Knees" of Digital SSTV (Slow Scan TeleVision) programs for the PC !
Easypal is being updated all the time... it is currently still in BETA Stage but well worth trying it out. More features are being added... Efficiency Improved.. and users taking up this facet of the Hobby are increasing daily.
Please Note: EasyPal has been written on a PC running Windows VISTA and is designed to run on a PC running MS Windows XP or VISTA. It works best on a PC with at least a 2Ghz processor
You will need an interface to connect your PC Soundcard and Transceiver. There are many on the market including SignaLink, RigBlaster and Navigator.
Personally, I use a US interface Navigator available Direct from US Interfaces http://usinterface.com/naviusa_004.htm
There are detailed plans on how to construct the lead you need to connect to YOUR Transceiver or alternatively a cable can be supplied. They'll even make a cable up if it's not for a radio they normally keep stock for. There are many HF SSTV Nets active 24 hours daily. Locally around Melbourne we have a 2m SSTV Net on Monday and Thursday evenings on VK3RML with the kind support of Amateur Radio Victoria at 21:00 local time. 146.700 output, 146.100 input Just call in and join the fun
Note: If you have a VHF Digital SSTV net in your area or have details of regular HF Digital SSTV nets please feel free to email me with the details......I will be pleased to add details on this page
